Ice cream in a bag. 17.5.19

What will happen If we add different ingredients into a bag to make ice cream?

I think that the gelato we attempt to make will taste different to the ones you get down at the shops or at the restaurant, and also different to the ones down the road at Mr. Whippy's. I think that because they use professional machines or they make them with really authentic ingredients. Also, they don't need to use salt, so for them there is no risk of getting salty ice cream, but in this recipe, you need to use salt and Snap Lock bags, and since Snap Lock bags break, the bags could get a minuscule hole in it and the salt would dissolve into the ice cream and make it all salty, which no one likes. We did this experiment because we are looking and the divergent between chemical and physical changes.

To make this recipe (Ice cream/gelato in a bag) you will need, Sodium Chloride (salt), Three bags Two divergent capaciousness (sizes), some cubed ice (note: does not have to be cubed, though cubed ice is easier to find/make), Vanilla essence, cup, milk, spoons.

The procedure to make this is quite simple.
  1. First and foremost, Pour the milk into the small SnapLock bag.
  2. Second, add the vanilla essence into the milk which is inside the bag.
  3. Third, make sure there is no air in the small Snap Lock bag, and then seal it, and put it into a slightly larger one.
  4. In the largest Snap Lock bag, add the ice and sodium chloride. And also add the small Snap Lock bags that has the milk and vanilla essence in them.
  5. Then palpitate (shake) the largest Snap Lock bag for 7-10 minutes.
  6. When that is done, you can snack on it, but if you want more, the next time you do it, you could double, or even triple the recipe.

The results were quite pleasing. Though it only tasted like hokey pokey flavoured milk. I think that happened because it was too hot outside.

Some peoples ice cream bag might have had a minuscule hole in it so the sodium chloride got in and made it all salty. Some people shook their bags to vigorously so the bag got a hole, so all the water and ice came out of the bag so the ice cream wasn't made properly.

This experiment was quite fascinating and enjoyable, and the result exceeded my expectations. In support of that I profoundly recommend it.
